Sunday Snippet — CROSSING THE LINE — Take the Plunge

It’s a rainy Sunday where I am, but it’s sunny and hot, hot, hot where Derrick, Hanna and Jeremy are. Today’s snippet is an immediate extension of last week’s scene from CROSSING THE LINE. Now, let’s see what Jeremy has in mind for his thank-you…

CtL_cover_SW-quote-at-top“Here, n-now…but somebody might come along and catch us,” she said, shivering at Derrick’s answer, or maybe at Jeremy’s sinful lips smiling down at her.

“Odds of that are pretty good.” Jeremy caught her hands and pulled her away from the safety of Derrick’s body, past the lounge chairs, to the edge of the pool. “Since we’ll be swimming.” Without further warning, he dove in, his very fine body slicing the surface without spraying a single drop of water in her direction.

“How is it—warm?” she asked when he resurfaced.

“Let’s find out.” In a heartbeat, Derrick scooped her into his arms, took a couple of running steps, drew up his knees and cannonballed them both into the deep end.

Lifelong best friends Derrick and Jeremy met Hanna at a bar ten years ago. Both wanted her—one married her. Now the other man has been invited to join in for one hot weekend.

Everything would’ve been fine if they’d had their fun that weekend, then gone back to normal. But they didn’t. And when past demons resurface, things will never be the same—for any of them.

Sunday Snippet — CROSSING THE LINE — Thank You

Welcome back for another Sunday snippet from CROSSING THE LINE. (I’ve edited today’s snippet to fit the 8-sentence rule.) Married couple Derrick and Hanna, along with their longtime close friend Jeremy, are about the enjoy the swimming pool of a small, exclusive resort. And they have the pool all to themselves, thanks to Jeremy…

CtL_cover_SW-quote-at-top“You can thank Jer for the privacy, he threw some cash at the older couple who were here so they’d take off.” Derrick’s words slid into her ear from behind—and on the subject of behinds, his rather solid cock now pressed against hers.

With Derrick behind her, she had nowhere to look but straight ahead, at Jeremy. “Wow, thank you.”

“Very polite, baby, but you can thank him better than that.” With a single step, Derrick moved her closer to Jeremy.

    “H-how should I thank him?”

    “Any way he wants.”

Sunday Snippet—CROSSING THE LINE—What’s One More Mistake?

Thanks for joining me for another Sunday snippet from CROSSING THE LINE. If you’ve been following along the past few weeks, you know we’re in Jeremy’s head as his lifelong best buddy invites him to have a threesome with Derrick and his wife. This bit picks up right after last week’s snippet

CtL_cover_SW-quote-at-topA couple of swipes and taps later, Derrick pushed his cell across the table. “Well, what should I tell her?”

Looking was a mistake, yet the phone was in Jeremy’s hand, inches from his face. He should’ve known it’d be another explicit picture. Okay, truth—he’d hoped it would be, but this—Christ. A video. Of Hanna. What was one more mistake?

Sunday Snippet —CROSSING THE LINE— Voice of Reason

Welcome, and Happy Mother’s Day to those celebrating today. This week’s snippet from CROSSING THE LINE is a continuation of last week’s scene. (I’ve condensed it to fit the eight-sentence rule.) Jeremy is still reeling from his best friend’s proposition— a threesome with Derrick and his wife.

CtL_cover_SW-quote-at-top“This is for her, Jer, to make her other fantasy come true. If it’ll make her happy, I want to give it to her, you know?”

“You really think that when the moment comes, pardon the pun, you’ll be okay letting somebody else touch Hanna? Watching your wife get wild with another guy?” Jeremy asked. “Because once it’s done, it’s done, no going back. It could fuck up your relationship permanently.”

“It won’t—not if you’re the third.”

“I’m not sure if that’s a credit to my loyalty or an insult to my masculinity.”

Sunday Snippet — CROSSING THE LINE — The Favor

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Sunday snippet. Today’s morsel follows last week’s offering from CROSSING THE LINE. Happily married a decade, Derrick has it in his head to give his wife a birthday present she has always fantasized about and will never forget—a threesome.
I’ve condensed this scene between Derrick and his lifelong best buddy Jeremy to fit the Weekend Writing Warriors eight-sentence rule, but I think you’ll get the gist. The full version is much richer though, and this hot & emotional 50k book is just $2.99, so… 😉

CtL_cover_SW-quote-at-top“I want to give Hanna something, something I know she’s wanted for a long time.”

“So what’s the thing—diamonds, a trip to Europe, a puppy?”

    “A threesome.”

If Jeremy had anything in his mouth, it’d be two tables over now. “Fuck off, seriously?”

“Seriously,” his buddy said, tapping his index finger the back of his phone where it rested on the table.

The pictures, Derrick wanting to talk to him about something—no fucking way. “Holy shit, you’re asking me, aren’t you?”

Sunday Snippet—CROSSING THE LINE—Sorry for Staring

Welcome back for another eight-sentence-long Sunday snippet. This week’s morsel is from CROSSING THE LINE, my married-couple ménage and edgiest book to date. Derrick and Hanna have been together a decade, and Derrick wants to give his wife the hottest birthday present ever—a threesome. With his lifelong best friend.
In this snippet, Derrick has asked Jeremy to meet for a beer after work. Derrick has a plan, and Jeremy has no idea what’s coming…

COVER_forweb_1“Holy shit.” Jeremy knew he should look away, that Derrick probably meant to show him a picture of Hanna in a dress or maybe a bikini, but he couldn’t tear his eyes from the phone. Hanna looked up at him from the screen, a sex-kitten smile on her lips as she peeked over her shoulder. But it wasn’t only her pretty face holding him captive—hell no.

Her ass was front and center, a tiny pink thong barely covering the essentials as she posed doggy-style for the camera—and her husband. “She’s gorgeous, but I think you pulled up the wrong picture.” Mercifully, the phone disappeared into Derrick’s palm. “Sorry for staring.”

Sunday Snippet—CROSSING THE LINE—Need vs Want

This week’s Sunday snippet is from the early pages of CROSSING THE LINE, my edgiest book, and one of my favorite stories. Derrick and Hanna have been married eight years, and her birthday is coming up. Derrick has one hell of a gift in mind for the woman he loves…

COVER_forweb_1“You cue up a video,” her tongue slid along her plump bottom lip, “and I’ll grab a few things from the bedroom.”

So they could act out a three-way scene, something they both loved doing. “The videos you watch, the stuff we pretend—we can do that if you want. Really do it.”

A couple of seconds ticked by before it clicked. “No, Derrick, I don’t need that…just you, you’re all I need.”

Ah, there it was, the importance of a single word. She didn’t need to be with two men at once, but she hadn’t said she didn’t want to be.

Sunday Snippet — ICING ON THE CAKE — Presumptuous

Happy Easter to those who celebrate, and thanks for hopping by for another Sunday snippet. If all goes according to plan, I’ll have a new release to share with you in May, so for the month of April, I’m going to post from a variety of my backlist books for my contribution to the Weekend Writing Warriors.

This week’s snippet is from ICING ON THE CAKE. In this scene, Curtis and Sara are navigating the waters of their siblings’ wedding reception, and their budding…relationship?

Icing on the CakeCurtis’s big, hard body pressed against Sara’s back as he turned her away from his sister—and trouble. “Lindsay’s had one too many glasses of wine; be a good girl and walk away.”

“Now you want me to be good? I thought you wanted me to be very, very bad.”

“Oh, I do,” his mouth brushed the shell of her ear, “and you will be—later.”

    “Pretty presumptuous, lawman.”

“Part of why you like me.”

“Also presumptuous—I never said I like you.”

ICING ON THE CAKE is one of my favorites. 🙂 If a bossy cop hero & a snarky, badgirl heroine sound fun to you, here are some places you can buy a copy:

    ICING ON THE CAKE

Close to Home series — Book 2

Nia and Conn’s wedding will be fairytale perfect…if their siblings can get along.

Free-spirited, anti-establishment Sara has always been on the outside of her family’s fairytale mold. Now she’s being forced smack into the middle of it at her sister Nia’s wedding. Alongside the cocky and annoyingly sexy best man—Conn’s cop brother.

Curtis doesn’t buy in to organized romance and fairytales. But for his brother, he’ll throw on a tux and fake it for a few hours. His flak vest would have been a better choice around the maid of honor. He should have brought his handcuffs too, because somebody needs to restrain the dark-haired spitfire—and he’s just the man for the job.

One night to indulge the spark between them, then goodbye—that was the agreement. Curtis isn’t looking for a relationship and he sure doesn’t want a troublemaker for a girlfriend. The last thing Sara needs in her daily life is a cop looking over her shoulder, no matter how hot he is.

But giving in to their chemistry is much more fun than giving it up…
